Enabling JavaScript Support in your Browser

Enabling support for JavaScript in your web browser is different for each browser. We have tried to provide some guidance instructions for some of the most common Internet Browser software available.

Whilst we try to keep this information current, the releases of newer versions of web browsers sometimes means that these steps are different in each version. If we have not covered the steps for your current browser correctly, we would recommend you refer to the software creator's website for any articles they might have in the Support or Knowledgebase sections of their website.

Quick Links

Internet Explorer Browser

From the main menu at the top of the window, please click on the Tools menu and select the Internet Options item.

Click on the Security tab along the top of the form. On this form select the Internet zone listed at the top, and then click on the button with the caption Custom level..., which is shown highlighted with a red border in the following image:

The dialog that is then displayed contains a lot of options and settings. Scroll down through the list quite a way until you find the Scripting section. The first sub-option is called Active Scripting. This option controls if JavaScript, and other scripting languages, are allowed to run in the browser. Please ensure the option labeled Enable is selected. You can see the option that needs to be selected highlighted with a red border in the following image:
